Find Wireless Networks for iPad
To begin you'll need to get to the the Wi-Fi network, so tap on the Settings app. From here, select the Wi-Fi category to get to the wireless network screen. Once there, the iPad will start looking for Wi-Fi networks that are in range and available to connect to. As these networks start appearing, the iPad will list their network names under the "choose a network" heading.
If you don't see these immediately, don't worry, it can take some time for the iPad to see all the networks available.
Choose a Wireless Network
When the Wi-Fi network you want to connect to appears on the screen, tap on its name to attempt to join it. If that particular name has a lock to the right of it, you will be asked to enter a wireless encryption password in order to join and connect.
Connect iPad to Wi-Fi Network
Once you've entered the password, the iPad will try and connect. When it does connect, you will be led back to the Wi-Fi settings screens and now there will be a checkmark next to the network you are connected too.
Now you're connected to Wi-Fi and you can use all the apps that require it.
